#042: Not Quite The Best of 2021

And so another year has gone by in a blur. 2021 was spent mostly at home again, away from the pandemic and with not much do photographic wise. I did pick up running again, as mentioned in the previous post, and I do intend to keep that going this year. So far it's two half marathons in two months, on track I'd say.

As for photographs that I enjoyed making this past year, there were very few. I only ventured out in the latter part of the year with the Fujifilm XF10. The mind and eye do get a little rusty from not being out on the streets for a prolonged period of time. It took some time to get used to being out on the streets again and even more so with the streets being super quiet due to the virus hanging around.

Popular places were quiet, and people out and about on the streets were few and far between. Everyone walking around with masks on also give the whole street scene a different vibe, not that I took many facial expressions in the past, but it just makes everyone feel even more distant and disconnected from what's going on. Expressionless souls on unstimulating streets.

I do hope to be able to get out and about more this coming year, and at least to get out of town with the family too. A holiday is much needed.

I hope you're all staying safe wherever you are and if you're stuck indoors I hope you're making the most of it in anticipation of moving into much better things this coming year.

Enjoy some of the photos that I've taken during the past year, mostly showing how KL is recovering from multiple lockdowns. The annual theme of showcasing my best street photography shots of the year will have to be taken with a footnote that this wasn’t my best year on the streets and these shots might not have made the cut compared to previous years collections. Not my best works but it's something, and I do want to keep this theme of the blog going.

Happy year of the Tiger!

Take care all.

Cheers.
